Hi everyone.
Please I have come again with a big problem on my neck, AnneMarie please help! My problem is with InDesign CC 2015 (the latest version) I created Epub 2.0.1 file with it, then tried to validate it using Epub validator installed in my laptop from ( Pagina) the one you used in your tutorial on InDesign. But it couldn’t validate, it gave me the below error message

(Error message from Pagina) WARNING HTM-016 /cover.xhtml HTML5 DOCTYPE definition within EPUB v2.

I used online validator from the following site,( https://validator.idpf.org/) and got the below error message again

Irregular DOCTYPE: found ”, expected ‘<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN” “https://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd”>’.

I thought it was cover image problem, then I removed the cover and exported it without cover, the same message appeared

I went ahead to bring in the Epub file that I created earlier with InDesign CC 2014 version and validated using installed software and online validator (that was then successful). But this time it didn’t validate, I don’t know what is the problem, I am thinking that the problem could be from my OS which is recently Windows 10 Pro, which I upgraded just few months ago, because the file that I created with InDesign CC 2014 version under Windows 8 Pro couldn’t validate any longer.

Then I brought in the completed Epub file (History-of-Art) of your tutorial on (InDeslgn CS6 to EPUB, Klndle, and lPad), this one got validated successfully.

I brought in your completed InDesign file of (History-of-Art) from (InDeslgn CS6 to EPUB, Klndle, and lPad) I opened it using my InDesign CC 2015, and exported it, and tried to validate it the above error message appeared., perhaps my system has a defult doctype that is not accepted by epub validator. Please help me out I am blocked here.

Thank you in advance
