InDesign CC 2017 Paragraph Leading

      When highlighlighting a paragraph containing a hard return (or clicking within the paragraph with my type cursor) and attempting to alter the secondary/paragraph leading in the control bar, instead of the secondary leading being altered to my new number, the highlighted paragraph (or insertion point where my type cursor had been placed) is replaced/inserted with the numerals I’m trying to insert. What is causing this? Overall, I’m pleased with the new version but disappointed with this issue. Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

      Mark, I’m not sure what you mean… it sounds like there is something wrong there.

      Mark, This is a bug within 2017 and Adobe are apparently working on a fix. The workaround for now is to turn off “Show Adornment on Text Selection/Text Frame for more Type controls” under Advanced Type in the Preferences. This certainly worked for me, as I was having the same problem, as it would seem were many others on the Adobe forum.
