I want to create a Indesign CC2014 document and be able to import a multi-page PDF, I want each page of the PDF to be place at specific place on each page Say 2″ from the top, the PDF are not 8.5″ x 11″, so the scripts I have tried to use that I downloaded from this site keeps returning errors.

I would like to be able to auto place PDF and create additional pages to match the PDF page count. I would like to have an automated workflow to do this.

I am currently doing this be extracting the PDF pages, and placing one at a time, sometime in documents that have as many as 250 pages, takes hours this way.

      Please help.

ps. Thanks in advance for your reply to my inquiry.

      Regards,

      Sebastian

What scripts have you tried and what errors do they (all of them?) return?

Scott Zanelli’s MultiPageImporter, for example, is able to place pages with a certain offset.

I agree with Jongware – the MultiPageImporter script (there is a link on the indesignsecrets.com website somewhere – use the search feature on the main page) is a go-to script at my work and is used at least once a day… the only time it has errors or issues is if the PDF being placed was actually made of many PDFs (e.g. several PDFs combined using adobe acrobat into one large PDF), or importing a PDF that was created outside of adobe software (e.g. a word file that was “printed” to PDF can occasionally have issues to do with the page boxes used)
