Indent / left indent

      Hi … this may have been discussed before … and maybe I’m not using correct keywords to search, but …

      When one must have an indented paragraph (or several), what’s the best way of getting things to line up?

      The first paragraph says “1)” … followed by text. The first letter (in this case) looks better than usual, but sometimes letters on the first line don’t align with the next line. I suppose this is a hanging paragraph. I’ll enclose a screen shot. Can I include a screenshot?

      There are various ways to do that. You could use real paragraph numbering, for example.
      You could put an “Indent to Here” character after the number and before the text (see the Type > Insert Special Characters menu)
      Or you could use a positive left indent and negative first line left indent.
