I keep getting an out of date warning for a story that is NOT out of date! I have unlinked it, remade the story, updated the assignment, saved, closed the file, reopened it, and boom — it is out of date!

I have remade the text block and saved it all again but to no luck. This seems to be consistent problem with 5.5 InCopy exports. The consistent problem is the last story that is exported is the faulty one — this shows up from different InDesign files. It only happens on the last one in the list. . .

Anyone else had this issue? Any solutions?

I've also had this problem and I have a feeling that it's an element that I'm missing. I've tried reformatting the file a jillion times and it still seems to be out of date. I thought I covered each element and updated it as needed, but I'm still getting the same warning.

      Help would be appreciated.

Sorry, I have not seen this.

I assume you've rebuilt prefs, made sure you're patched to latest update, etc.?

      I would try this:

      1) export the text in the bad boy frame as RTF

      2) delete the frame in the INDD file

      3) Save As with the same name

      4) place the RTF into a new text frame, save

      5) export the new text frame to InCopy format
