I am using a Content Management System with InDesign and am having problems with Forced Line Breaks (soft returns) resolving as Forced Line Breaks.

The system uses “special characters” to resolve characters that would otherwise not resolve the same cross platform or media. For example the special character for a Paragraph return would output <Br> for the web and u000D to InDesign.

No matter what I use for a Forced Line Break (u000A, n, u2028, etc.) use it always comes in as a Paragraph Return or doesn't resolve at all. Anyone know what unicode character or InDesign code will actually read as a Forced Line Break in InDesign?

      Thanks in advance!

Are you importing xml? I've used '
' for a line feed when doing so.
