Importing Persian text: letters remain unlinked to each other

      Hello,

I am stuck on a problem related to writing in Persian (Farsi) in InDesign CS5 ME:

When importing a Word document written in Farsi, the single letters show up in their isolated form, i.e. not linked each to the next one.

The same applies when I try to type Farsi within InDesign using the Persian keyboard layout: again isolated letters. They write from right to left, but no letter merges with the next one. When I type something into the Google search field, THEN the letters get linked the correct way.

I can't write Persian, but the Word document I am trying to import is written in correct Persian, so it should look right after importing.

      Any solution?

(Just in case: In InDesign ME, before importing (i.e. “placing”) the Word document I choose “Farsi” as text language the right to left writing).
