      Hi,

I am new to InDesign and scripting for it. I am currently working with the 30 day trial version of InDesign. I wrote a vbscript that places jpg images throughout my document based on values in my data file. It then writes out individual pdf files named according to a field in my data file. What I have noticed is that if I lock my computer while InDesign is the active window, none of my pdf files have any images in them. If, however, I click somewhere else (say on my output folder) before locking my computer, all of my pdf files look great with the images included. Has anyone ever noticed this behaviour? I’m wondering if it is a bug or if there is something I can do to prevent it. It’s not really the end of the world, but it will be a pain if I create thousands of pdf files only to come back and find they have no images.

      Thanks,

      JediMaster

Well, this appears to just be an issue with the trial version of InDesign CS6. I am now running the full version of InDesign CS6 and this is not happening. :)

I am new to Indesign too. I downloaded the free trial off the following, this page also has a number of free tutorials for various adobe software products. Might be helpful to you aswell whilst you are getting used to the software. https://www.trainingconnection.com/indesign-training.php
