      Hi,

I am working on an epub book with images embedded in the text. Images are linked to the beginning of the last sentence of the paragraph above them for text flow purposes. I’ve defined an object style (frames, text wrap etc) for all images.

I am fighting with two issues

      1) When the paragraph the image is linked to is near the end of the page, the image doesn’t automatically flow to the next page but just hangs off the bottom – so it gets cut in half or worse. What to do? It’s been driving me crazy.

      2) In some cases I override the object style I defined for images manually as necessary. Every time I close the document and reopen it, the formatting that I edited by hand is gone, and the images have reverted to the initial object style. It makes me regret ever having used an object style. How can I stop this happening..?

I’d be very grateful for any advice to the above! Thank you!

Firstly, if you are anchoring your images, then the paragraph style you are linking into should have “Split Document” in the export tagging.
Secondly, your images should retain the style you have given them if you are saving your document and opening it at some later stage.

Thanks much for the very quick response Steve!

        1) Thanks much for the hint about the “Split Document” setting. Will apply that right now, hope it solves my problem!
        2) Yes, I agree – it’s very frustrating. I can’t hand it over to my client like that – is this a bug, I wonder?

Regrettably, “Split Document” didnt’ solve my issues – instead, each paragraph now is on its own page in the EPUB :(

You need to set up a diff parastyle
