Hi. I created a simple rectangle in Illustrator without stroke and placed it in InDesign and it's cropped exactly to the edges, but that same rectangle with stroke added in Illustrator has gaps (extra space) on every sides when placed in InDesign. In both cases crop to bounding box is selected. Does anybody has the same problem.

Are you placing it, or copy/pasting the artwork?

Oh, wait, do you mean there is additional space around all four sides of the rectangle? You mean, the bounding box is too big when you add the stroke?

Yes I use place command, and yes bounding box is too big when I add the stroke

Yes, I have heard of Illustrator sometimes adding a little bit of space around the bounding box… like they round to the nearest one point or something? I cannot remember. How much space is it adding?

      Very little, about 0.5 mm

When stroke is align to inside or outside everything is OK , it seems like the only problem are artworks with strokes set to center.
