Identical font headers for 2 families

      Hi, I had a family of fonts Adabi MT Std loaded for some time, and had no problem using them. I then bought a condensed version from the same reputable supplier. The trouble is my InDesign sees them as the same header. So that I have two identical headers and when I click on both, only the condensed is showing. I have tried uninstalling from the computer, re-installing everything, but without results. The only thing that works is to uninstall the recently added condensed, then I see my other family just fine. Its as if the condensed font is assuming the identity of all the font family, and not allowing In Design to view them. Bit like a cuckoo shoving the other chicks out of the nest!. Has anyone else had this problem?
      Summary:
      I use a PC with InDesign 5.5.
      What I see for both families..Two identical headers: Abadi MT Std (OTF). Condensed only visible on when I click both listings.
