      Hello there! I am new to this forum, but I have found it quite useful for a lot of my graphic needs. Here is what I am trying to do. I am working in InDesign CS6. I have an excel spreadsheet that I need to pull “codes” from to generate hundreds of black plates for our printer. Each code that I generate from the excel sheet I then save as a txt file so that I can do my data merge. Like I said, I end up with hundreds of pages within my InDesign file, all containing unique codes like this: SDF2K22.
      The sequence is always the same: letter, letter, letter, number, letter, number, number. I found a script that would save out each page for me as a separate pdf file,
      but I would LOVE to have a script that would do that AND save each page as the code assigned to that page. Any suggestions?

      Just to clarify: You want the script to name the file the same thing as the code?

      Thank you so much for your reply. Yes, after I do the data merge within Indesign, I send up with 200+ pages all with unique codes from the data merge. I found a script that would create PDFs of each page and export them. But I’ve not found a script that will make a PDF of each page and save each page with the unique codes.
