      Hello everybody,

can anybody tell me exactly what the various colors of the dots after the hyperlink in the hyperlink panel mean?

      Thanks in advance!

If you hover your cursor over the dots, you’ll see a tooltip that tells you the status.

Green: Hyperlink is valid and reachable
Red: Hyperlink is not valid (either it goes to a non-existent URL, or the hyperlink is malformed)
Gray: I have occasionally seen these, it usually means ID can’t determine the status for some reason. A strange code is coming back from the destination’s web server, or, if all of them are gray, you don’t have an Internet connection.

Sometimes you’ll see a gray envelope (email link) or gray page icon (page destination) too.

Thanks, Anne-Marie. I was asking, because I’m testing a hyperlinks script I’m writing, and one of my test hyperlinks shows green although it doesn’t exist in the internet. So I was confused about the coloring.

It’s a bit weird: The script added hyperlink is green (although this is wrong), but when I edit the hyperlink, it jumps to red. After exiting the edit it jumps to green again. So I think, this must be a bug …

      Thanks!
