How to make autoshapes like publisher

      Greetings,

I have switched over to Indesign from publisher, though I was a rookie in that program as well. I loved the autoshapes feature in Publisher that would allow me to insert shapes , especially the block arrows, which is essentially a box with an arrow coming out of it. Does Indesign really not have any feature similar to that? I cant imagine having to recreate that shape every time I want to use one. I use it as a text box, almost like a speech bubble but with an outlined arrow pointing.

Any ways to do this simply?

      Thanks

I would search the web for all free downloads and get some vector shapes and save them. And then bring them into indesign in a picture box. then put a text box in the picture box…

Or you could just make your own shapes with shape tools and Pathfinder…. Then keep them and copy and paste them into your documents…
