How to install a Font that I've aquired through an indesign document

I have been asked to produce a number of documents using a template InDesign document, including using the same fonts of the original document. The problem is my employer did not mention the fonts he used in the original document are not InDesign standard fonts and therefore they show up in my new documents as missing.

I cannot bother him to ask for him to give me a copy of the fonts to install and I’ve checked and these fonts are incredibly expensive to buy otherwise I’d just get them for my own computer. I am able to use the fonts in my documents despite the InDesign prompt saying they’re missing, all that happens is my text is highlighted light red (though this does not appear on the printed versions).

Is there a way, now that I have full use of these fonts through InDesign, to install them on my computer without having to buy them?

Any help would be great, I’m new to the program and unfamiliar with fonts in general although these seems uncommon (gravur condensed + Schulbuch Bayern Pro)

      Thanks guys, this site’s amazing!

Nope, sorry, the only way you can use them (and print and make pdfs properly, and see proper line-endings and so on) is to own the fonts.

      Hi David,

Despite unfortunate news thank you for the reply, it’s appreciated.
