      Hello,

I have a book with multiple documents. Each document contains ‘CO2’ and the 2 needs to be in subscript. So I need to find all the ‘CO2’ text and replace them with the 2 in subscript. How can I do this with Find and Replace?

      Thanks.

Hey Ann, I see your still buzzy with the book document. I’ll guess you need the grep find and replace. First you have to make a character style for the upperscript or subscript and then search for CO2 defining the two as a variable and replace the variable with itself and the just made characterstyle. Makes sense to you?

Ann, consider the tips in these articles:
      https://indesignsecrets.com/auto-format-superscript-and-subscript-numbers-using-grep-styles.php
      and

Sometimes you may need to use a tool like MathTools from movemen to create complex equations.
