      I have a 5×7″ document made in Illustrator with a .125″ bleed.

I can make a PDF directly from illustrator and show the bleed marks, but I need several pages so I can duplex print a few different versions of this linked file.

In inDesign when I place the linked file, there are no bleed marks.

I see no option to “View” or “Show” a linked file’s bleed marks.

      Thanks.

Click Bleed Marks when you print or export a PDF from InDesign. Printer’s marks, such as Crop/Bleed should not be inside the document. (If you are sending to a printer, they will likely use the bounding box information in the PDF to align, not the crop marks.)

That’s the issue. The bleed marks are for the 8.5×11 sheet. But the linked file is 5×7 with a .125″ bleed. The bleed from the 5×7 wont show up in the indesign spread.

      Edit:
I’ve changed the document size to match the 5×7 from illustrator. The bleed marks I select for printing just go to the edge of the bleed. They don’t have the proper 5×7″ size, with the .125″ bleed.

Oh.. I figured it out. I wanted “Crop Marks” to be printed.. Not “Bleed Marks.

      Thanks for the help!
