How do I create a print button for use in Interactive PDF?

I have a document created in InDesign CS4 which I will be converting into an interactive PDF (which has various links added on a master page so they appear on every page), one of which I would like to be a “Print” button.

I know how to do this in Acrobat Pro, but I don't want to have to create a button in Acrobat and then copy/paste it onto all pages in my document. Surely there must be a way to create a button of this type in InDesign CS4. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think they have to be done in Acrobat. You cannot do this in InDesign – that I know of.

Thanks Eugene, that's pretty much what I thought. I guess I will send a feature request in to Adobe!

Yeh I think you should too – why they only put limited options in there I don't know?

Just posted a feature request on the InDesign feature request forum. Let's hope Adobe see it and take notice and implement it soon.

That's a handy place to put it to get support – but to register the request with Adobe you should fill out a request form

You could ask folks to fill out the form too and put a similar titled message for each person requesting.

Done, thanks for the link Eugene. I edited my post asking for anyone else who feels the same to post a feature request also.
