      Hello

First post on Indesignsecrets so hoping some knowledgable member may know about this one. I am not a Flash user but I need to create Flash banner adverts for our website. When I create the adverts in Indesign and save them as Flash (swf) files, the size is more than 100k even with all the components optimised. Out of curiousity, I created a blank swf from Indesign and this was also over 100k and this was just a blank canvas.

Anyone know how I can get the size down?

      Thanks

This is is a common problem… InDesign is not designed to make small flash banners. There is too much overhead. The only solution would be to export as FLA, open in Flash, and recreate the SWF from there (but this will require knowledge of flash and possibly actionscript).
