There’s a bar in every workspace that has HOME icon / Publish online / dropdown menu of workspaces / Adobe stock search box.

I do not use this and would really like to get rid of it.

Can someone please tell me how to do this?

      thanks.

Try pressing the Tab key (when not editing text). That hides all the UI elements.
If you’re on the Mac, I think that bar stays up, but if you turn off View > Application Frame, then that, too, goes away.
If you’re trying to take over the whole screen, you could use presentation mode:

Thanks. I really would like to get rid of it completely — it takes up valuable screen space. This is for normal workspace, not just previewing. I need all the other UI.

With Application Frame (Window>Application Frame) off, I can detach it from the top, but I can’t get it to go away.

For now, I’ve shoved it to the far right at the bottom of my menu, so at least it’s not in my way.

I just wondered what it was called or if there was a way to banish it.

I believe it’s called the Application Bar. I don’t think you can make it go away in the current version.
