Looking to update, still running El Cap, skipped Sierra, in the great collective knowledge/experience of the indesign secrets forums, has the usual bugs, quirks and other general weirdness subsided, good to update, or should I give it a while longer?

What version of InDesign are you using?

I updated my 2017 27-inch iMac to High Sierra. But–I have a fusion drive and not a solid state drive; and everything works fine.

The problem with High Sierra is mainly with the SSDs (solid state drives). On the SSDs, High Sierra does that new filing system (AFPS), which does not play nicely with a lot of applications.

If you have a fusion drive or regular drive, I think you will be okay. If you have a solid state drive, I’d hold off, though I think a High Sierra patch fixed a few of the InDesign issues.

      Thanks Dwayne
I have a 2013 27 inch iMac plain old SATA drive. Yep that patch seems to have fixed the cursor problem, and checking the boards haven’t heard and new problems pop up. That’s my plan for tomorrow afternoon sorted, update to High Sierra.

Good luck with the upgrade. I haven’t had any problems whatsoever.
