      Hi there,
I have an urgent 80 000+ name problem! can anybody help me?
I have a list of a lot of names that looks like this (but obviously all the names are different):

Name Surname • Name Surname • Name Surname • Name Surname • Name Surname • Name Surname • Name Surname • Name Surname • (etc etc)

I need to work out a way (not manual!) to bold the surnames only. I have made a bold character style, is there a way I can find and replace the current text surname with a bold version?

I would be so grateful for any help.
      Thank you!

Hi Lindsay, you could apply the character style to the surname that is made by an uppercase letter followed by a sequence of lowercase letters (that is \u+) adding a positive lookahead with a space and a bullet.
I don’t have the possibility to use InDesign now so I cannot write the complete GREP string.

      … Here, something like that:

      (\u[\w-]+)\K(?1)

      Best,

      You are just amazing!
Claudio I tried yours first, even before I received Michel’s, and it seems to have worked.
I can’t thank you enough for you speedy help, it is so appreciated.
