Help with continual price changes in catalogue

      Hi there

      I have to build a large pricing catalogue in which
      the prices change every 3 months
      They would give me an Excel file for each section.
      I’m fairly experienced in InDesign but have
      never come across large price list.
      Can I import the Excel file into InDesign and
      update the InDesign table with new Excel price increase

      You can link Excel spreadsheets to InDesign tables with the “create links when placing” feature in the File Handling pane of the Preferences dialog box. However, it’s tricky. There’s also the “flow” plug-ins from Em Software, which we talked about here:

      But most people who want this kind of thing want more features/flexiblity, and so they use a tool like DataLinker from Teacup Software or one of the catalog tools, such as EasyCatalog from 65bit or Extreme from Cacidi.com
