Hi, I am having a problem with the numbering of pages when i add multiple slides to a document. When I want to make a “facing pages” document the numbering always starts in reverse (from right to left) as if it were configured for Arabic or Hebrew speaking people. How can i change it back to normal, starting from Left hand side (Page 1) to Right hand side (Page2) ??
      Many thanks.

What is your final output of this?

Odd pages on the right are normal for English language. (When you open a book, Page 1 is on the right)

Right click on the page you want to number Page 1, Numbering and Section Options, and choose Start Page Numbering at 1. (you should name previous pages something besides numbers)

Check your Preferences -> General – you may want Absolute Numbering or Section Numbering.

      Good Luck.

Hi Colleen, thank you for your message , yes I had already tried Absolute Numbering and Section Numbering, to be honest i’m not too sure what they do but they didn’t change anything.
The problem i’m having is something i have never had before, if only it would be possible to upload screenshots on this thread it would make it easier to explain, however another way to explain my problem is that when i’m having two facing pages (attached) the document will only allow me to start on the right page and then moving to left. In this sense the pages are in reverse and that’s the problem i can’t solve. I you would know anything about how to solve this problem i would be so grateful !

Charles, I think that’s how InDesign always works with facing pages. As Colleen said, the first page is always a right-hand page and it is page 1. The second page is a left-hand page.

If you need the first two pages to be left-and-right, then check out:

      Or are we missing something?

You can’t upload images here, but you can put them on some other ‘image sharing’ site and then just add a link here.
