Help! Having trouble when placing an image

      Hello Everyone,

      I need some help! I am having trouble placing an image on indesign, everytime I try I get a black box I already went to preferences and made sure the settings were right and that the display performance was clicked to its high quality but for some reason I still get the black box and sometimes its half an image and half that black box.

      Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

      Sometimes it’s the image… consider opening it in Photoshop (if it’s a bitmapped image) or Illustrator (if it’s vector) and doing a Save As.
