    Greetings,

    I am desperatly trying to use this free script called “Catchword Generator” inside Indesign CC 2014 in vain. The script is written in Applescript and is said to work with any macintosh version of inDesign. One has only to follow the following instruction to make it work inside one’s InDesign:

    Adapting Catchword Generator to Your Version of InDesign

    Using the AppleScript Editor, open the Generate Catchwords.scpt file from the folder you copied it to and find the line that reads:[tell application “Adobe InDesign CS5”]. In this line, change the word CS5 to reflect the version of InDesign you use (CS3, CS4, CS5.5, CS6, etc.), then save the script. That’s all there is to it — you can close the AppleScript Editor now.

    I followed the instruction to adapt it to my version but it does not work.

    I’m not familiar with AppleScript, but how did you adapt to your version? Did you write:
    tell application "Adobe InDesign CC 2014"?

      Yes, this is exactly what I did. I get this error when launching the script from ID:

      I suspect that it has to do with fact that the version CC 2014 I own is the Middle Eastern one (ME): I noticed that one of my ID folder is named “Version 10.0-ME”. I tried putting [tell application “Adobe InDesign CC 2014 ME”] but the script asks me to locate the app (in my application folder) which is called “Adobe InDesign CC 2014” without “ME”.

    Try omitting the version name entirely, as such: tell application "Adobe InDesign".

    The thing is, as I said above, whenever I change the name of the version and upon saving the file, AppleScript asks me to locate the name of the app I entered, in this case “Adobe Indesign”. Therefore I choose my ID application and AppleScript Editor changes the name from [tell application “Adobe InDesign”] to [tell application “Adobe InDesign CC 2014”] (i.e name of the app I choose from my application folder).

    Any other ideas?
