      Hi.

I’m a french typesetter working on projects (novels, thearter and poetry) using XML workflows with a fair amount of footnotes and imported in InDesign CS5. I’ve been searching for days how to handle the footnotes nightmare since InDesign won’t support XLM tags in footnotes stream, posted the same question on several forums and came up with quiet obscure answers from people who finally confessed they were not the best source for information on XML.

The most relevant information (found on Adobe Community) suggested to use XSLT to transform the footnotes to their respective places and then do some scripting in InDesign to convert in autofootnote. So here are my questions:

Is it the right way to deal with this problematic situation?

Could anyone provide XSL code example?

Same for the script that should be used in InDesign.

      Thanks for any helping hand.
