      G'day Folks

I'm putting together a job in Indesign with a number of security features. One of these is a hidden “This is a copy” warning which magically appears when the document is photocopied, etc. This is achieved through a combination of colour tinting and using different screen frequencies when offset-printing the original.

Back in the day, Freehand had the ability to set object level halftone overrides. I haven't been able to find the corresponding option in Indesign. Does anyone know whether it exists and if yes, where?

      Thanks n cheers, Gobit

The biggest problem is that many (perhaps most?) high-end printers now strip out the halftone frequency commands in PostScript, and many people print to non-postscript devices anyway. But if you're relatively sure that they're printing to desktop laser printers with postscript, then you could insert an EPS file that could probably do this.

      Thanks David

The real job itself will be printed offset so I can control the lpi object by object when ripping it to the platesetter.

At this stage just trying to find a quick and dirty way to initially proof the job without the expense of a wet proof. Looks like EPS is the way to go.

      Thanks.
