      Hi all,

I have a document that has been ORC scanned then converted to a word doc from Acrobat. But unfortunately there are paragraph returns mid sentences preventing the text flowing.

Is there a GREP that can locate sentences beginning with a lowercase letter and remove the paragraph return behind it?

      I really HOPE so!

      Thanks
      Simon

      Hey Simon,

You should be able to run something like

      Find: \r([a-z])
      Replace: $1

but you might want to run this first to make sure you have a space before those line breaks. Nothing like having to reread the whole thing because words are running together (among other things), and it’s easier to clean up double spaces throughout than break words apart.

      Find: (?<!)\r
      Replace: $0

Thanks so much Aaron. That worked on some of the text but not all… I’m not sure why either because they all have the same paragraph breaks…
