Can anyone tell me why a GREP string that works in InDesign does not work for me in InCopy. Exactly the same text, exactly the same string! In Indesign, it finds the target text perfectly. In InCopy I just get a “strong not found” message.

Any under the hood settings in InCopy that might affect this.

Massey, can you up the script here? Adobe supports the same script in your case. I could see not if certain specifics were involved.

Here's one of the GREP strings

Could InCopy be reading the : as an operator while InDesign does not?

      ID: d+r

In other words, search for the string ID: followed by a space then any characters followed by a paragraph end
