Hi, i am vere experienced with ID, but new to grep – i need a grep style in my Paragraf Style, that can do this:

If a paragraf starts with “Price …” then the whole paragraf must be applied with (name) character style.
If the paragraf does Not start with “Price”, then do nothing.

      Is that possible???

      Thanks in advance :o)

That is very possible. I encourage you to look at the resources on this page:
      https://creativepro.com/resources/grep

Just search for ^Price (That means “the word Price at the beginning of the paragraph”)

HOWEVER: Do not apply a character style to the whole paragraph! Use this to apply a paragraph style. (You should not apply character styles to a whole paragraph except in rare circumstances.)

How do i do that?? I can’t apply a Pararagraf Style, only Character style – and how do i write the grep?

I don’t want to search for it in “find/change”, but use it inside a paragraf style .. ?

Oh, I see, you want to do this with grep styles. I was not reading carefully, sorry. My method uses the Find/Change dialog box.

For a grep style, the code would be ^Price.+

Ok, thanks – but it is not working.

I my paragraf Style, under “grep Style”, I choose my caracter style after “Apply style”, and in the line below, “To text: .. what do I write? If i write “^Price.+” nothing happens. Do i miss anything?
How do i tell, that the whole paragraf, starting with “Price” should be applyed with my Character Style, choosen i the top line?

Dos’nt make sense to me ???
