      Dear friends,

is it possible to grep an XML-label? Or better said an XML openingbracket or closingbracket.

I sure hope so, i couldn't find it, and i really need to do that.

(Just as we figured out how to use XML in our advantage…)

I tried to do the same thing last year with no sucess. I don't think it's possible with GREP. It sees them as index markers (^I), but you can't actually do anything with them in the GREP search that I have been able to find.

You might have to dive into a bit of applescripting to be able to search for XML elements.

      Sorry bro,

      Joel

      Hi Joel,

Thank you for your reply on Hopsa's question. We are from the same company and in the mean time we solved it a different way.

I happened to paste the bracket of an XML label in the GREP search and it came out as (~I).

Though it's still not possible to use it for GREP automation.

If we find something by accident we'll post it in the same topic. Maybe you could that as well?

Once more: thanks for your reply.

      Vincent
