Gradient swatch – color to transparent

      I have upgraded to Indesign Cs6 (from CS3) and I am not able to create a gradient swatch that goes from color to transparent. All of my projects that used this feature in CS3 have since changed in CS6 from transparent to another solid color. Is there a trick for getting this done? Thank you in advance.

      Actually, InDesign has never had this feature. If you were doing it in CS3, it must have been with some other trick… for example, using the multiply blend mode, or using a feather effect.

        thank you for your quick response. that makes sense – I probably did some feathering and blending, but those tricks aren’t working for me now. why do you think my projects from cs3 are not translating to cs6?
