Good use of graphs

      I have a formal document to prepare that uses lots of Excel graphs. I'm pretty good at formatting these [imho ;) ] and generally use quite a simple minimal approach on the page – but I wonder if anyone can point me in the direction of any good examples of incorporating graphs into documents in a fairly unfussy way. Again – I don't want anything fancy (simple, clean, 2D, easily read) but some fresh ideas are certainly required.

      Have been looking at lots of company annual reports but I'm not really finding anything suitable. Any pointers gratefully received.

      I never make graphs or charts myself, but one of my clients supplies me PowerPoint files full of them, which I then print as-is. Naturally I can't send or post any of it, but as they're not too concerned with a continuous look & feel across their various printed materials, I doubt they'd be of much help.

      The only advice I can give is to first get the document's general look & feel done, then create matching graphs, either within Excel or Illustrator (according to Adobe, it has very good graph options).
