      Hi all,

Looking for a decent printer that can produce borderless/full-bleed 11×17″ prints as proofs for jobs that will be sent for digital printing by one of my company’s vendors. Color accuracy is important but so is the budget. We’re looking at the Epson Artisan 1430 as our best option so far. At $300 plus the option of direct printing onto printable optical discs, it seems to offer the best value. We could spend more, but is it necessary to do so for this purpose?

The documents to be proofed include real estate brochures and mailers, so we will want to print on matte or gloss card stock for most of the proofs. Does anyone have any other suggestions for a printer that will reasonably emulate the final digital printed result, or things I should watch out for? Thanks!
