Hi all, i'm new to this. I checked all over the internet but couldn't find my answere. Maybe because i'm not native english speaking and don't have the right search string.

      My problem:

I have 100 pages of tekst with a H1 and a H2. I want the H1 to have a bar behind it with a dropshadow and rounded corners. Can I automate it that every H1 (or any orther character style) gets a image or vector object behind it. This should be pretty handy since the customer doesn't already know which order the productlist comes but still wants to see the overall look and feel.

You will need to use a paragraph style not a character style. If you want it (H1 or H2) to have a dropshadow it will need to be in it's own text box. Use a paragraph rule to make the shape behind the text.

You can sort of do it using both a Paragraph Rule Above and a Paragraph Rule Below.

The RULE BELOW will be on the top – the RULE ABOVE will be the Shadow.
