      Hi there !

I’d like to resize the pasteboard for the new document I created because it’s really huge. Like really huge. Usually the pasteboard is much larger than the document I’m working on but here I am generating a 5,5m long poster. Pasteboard is now roughly twice the size of my spread, so about 11m long as I’d be working on the largest book in the world. The doc always is sitting in the most right side of the pasteboard.
I’ve browsed the internet for solutions, found some but none of them actually worked out.

      Some info about the doc:
      – InDesign CC 2015 (running on Mac OS X 10.11.6)
      – One page only with a single spread
      – Size : 5486mm x 1086mm
      – No bleed or slug (0mm)
      – Empty (no shape or whatever content)

      Here is what I’ve tried:

      – Flipping the spread to Portait, then back to landscape. Did not work.
      – Generating a new doc and pasting only the useful content into it. Pasteboard is already huge at the creation of the new doc.
      – Exporting in .idml. Did not work.
      – Selecting everything out of my actual doc and deleting it. Did not work.
      – Setting up new pasteboard size in Preferences. Change only apply on the lower and right edges. Left side is still enormous.

I’ve browsed the internet for hours and couldn’t fix that issue.
Anyone could help me please ?

      Many thanks.
      Ben.

      Hi.

I’ve of course tried of all these tips before posting. Unfortunately none of them worked out and that’s the reason why I came here posting.

Is the document set up as spreads but you only need one page? Indesign treats the first page in a document as the right hand side page of a spread, unless you untick the “facing pages” box in File > Document setup. It sounds like this could be the issue. :)
