Suddenly my fonts have undergone a strange deterioration. This applies to all fonts. As I enter text, it is sharp and clear. The moment I click on my mouse, the text becomes almost bold and fuzzy. This is severely downgrading the quality of my output. I am using an IIyama E2407HDS at the maximum native resolution, Windows 7 64bit. My PC is a Dell XPS with 24GB ram.
Prior to this event, I always had superb font quality. Not sure if a Windows update has done this, just do not know. I have Windows Clear Type enabled and have not made chasnges at all to my PC.
      Regards
      Terence

Is this specifically an InDesign issue, or do you experience this in all the programs on your machine. If the latter is true then you should probably ask around on a Microsoft Windows forum.

      Hello Ari

Discovered the error of my ways. I write for Macmillan Education with a friend. I do the typesetting. We had ten pages of a chapter on Excel visual basic that just did not work. So I removed the text and screenshots from the ten pages and started again. That is when we had the fuzzy font problem.

So going under the premise that there is nothing logical about typesetting, I decided to create a new chapter. Hey presto no fuzzy font problems. My theory is that must have been a hidden layer on some of the pages not deleted that caused the problem. I am lost for words as to why starting again cured the problem. I did have a similar problem with the early version of Ventura.
