      Hello there,

I wonder if I’m able to force paragraph and character styles in InDesign CS6. Because I’m currently layouting a book that has a lot of tables and they’re about three different types. However, InDesign seems to think that I want the default text style in my tables too. Bascially, here’s what I do:

      1. I import the Excel table, using CTRL+D
      2. I convert the text to a table using my table style of choice.
      3. I fix paragraph and character styles individually. Every time.

I must be doing something wrong. So I wonder if I can set my table style to – no matter what anything else says – use the formatting I tell it to use.

Alternatively, I’d be happy to know what on Earth I’m doing wrong here.

      Thanks!
      Jonathan

Cell styles carry the paragraph styles, use these in your table styles.
