Footnotes…changing number '1' to an * an then renumber rest, possible?

      So…is this possible. It seems to me that ID doesn't like different forms of footnote in the same file. Its either one way or the other.

      In Quark you could start a new section within a file, and as such you could change the formatting for the footnotes if required in any particular section. I know I can create new sections in ID, but it applies the footnote style to all sections within a file not just the one you ask for.

      All the info on the web i have found points to this being a limiting factor in ID and there is no way around it.

      Anyone?

      InDesign footnotes are ridiculously underdeveloped.
