Whenever I have more than one footnote aligned to the grid, InDesign adds an extra line above the last footnote, and I don’t want this to happen. Do you know how to solve this problem?

Here are my paragraph style settings:

The baseline grid of the document is 12 pt leading. The font size of the footnote style is currently 9 pt, with 11 pt leading, but it doesn’t help if I change it to 12 pt leading or any other value below 11. Alignment is to the left, and Align to Grid is set to Baseline with All Lines.

Everything else is set to 0 or has not been adjusted.

I don’t have anything adjusted in the Footnote Options for the document.

I have hundreds of footnotes in my book, and sometimes I have more than one on a page. This extra line makes the layout look broken, especially when there are 3 or 4 footnotes on the page, and there’s only an extra line above the last one.

      Please help.
