I have a complex conference schedule laid out in nested tables.
Outer table is for regular events.
Inner tables are for concurrent sessions that all fall under a common time slot.

      Screenshots:

(The purple rows with times and “Concurrent Sessions” are part of the outer table – beneath them are inner tables containing info about each session.)

When an inner table of concurrent sessions is too long, of course the entire cell of the outer table that contains the inner table is cut off, where I would like for as many rows of the concurrent sessions table to fit in the space as possible, without having to manually copy and paste rows from one page to another.

Any suggestions for dealing with this?

No, that’s the problem with table cells in InDesign: You can’t split them across two frames.

Best suggestion – don’t nest the tables, just let them run consecutively, with zero space before/after each table.
Then there are no really deep (tall) table rows to waste space.

      Good luck,
      Chris
