My Indesign spread is flagged as having transparency. The culprit is a jpg object, which originally was an illustrator file that I flattened and saved as a a jpg from photoshop. I’m not sure why it still is coming up with transparency. There are no effects applied or indicated. Any other reasons why this would come up this way?

      Thanks

I’ve found some success: I deleted that jpeg. Then re placed it again and the transparency icon for that page, and the transparency warning has now gone away. I’m not sure what was going on but that seems to be related to the issue.

What seems to cause the glitch is when I used relink to replace the AI file (with layers / transparency) with the flattened jpg version, Indesign retained the transparency tag for the file.

Yes, that can happen. Sometimes Save As…or Export as an IDML will get rid of that info in the file. Also, delete or convert any spot colors to process. Exporting PDFs to x1/a standard is usually good too.
