Hi, Is there any way I can prevent readers over-riding my font choices for the epub 3, nd if so, can I do it for only CERTAIN fonts. I’m producing an ebook which uses New Times Roman to render Hebrew script – if the font is changed then the Hebrew no longer reads properly. I don’t care which font the reader uses to render the English text, but the New Times Roman font just CANNOT be changed!

      Help appreciated.

      Hi Matt

As I understand it fonts can only be specified by the publisher when using the fixed layout EPUB3 standard.
The only other option for reflowable EPUB3 would be to convert the hebrew text to graphics.

Yeah Ken’s right, there’s no way to turn on or off which fonts available to the reader, the easiest way to make sure they don’t change would be to images of the Hebrew text.
