Finding character styles with Grep styles.

I have a project where I need to find and replace one character style with another. No problem at all with the find/change function. However, I'd like to build this in to a paragraph style to automate it and move on. Telling the grep style what character style I want to use is easy. However, it is unclear to me how to find the existing character style. How do you search for a particular character style to replace within the grep style dialog box in paragraph styles? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's not possible, GREP styles are meant to look for text patterns only.

I was afraid of that. I was hoping I'd overlooked something.

Doing what's needed is not a problem. I was just hoping to automate the process and focus it in, because the character style only needs replacing in certain parts of the document, not globally.

Now I have a wish list replace. Create a “style” within the Paragraph style dialog box that allows you to find an applied character style and replace it. Why not have a find/change feature available for paragraph styles?
