I'm either missing some obvious or it can't be done.

I have a 200 page catalog with lots of charts and part #s. I know that you can highlight a part # and then bookmark it. Is there a way to do something similar but have the ability to extract all those bookmarks as a spread sheet with the associated page #s. Even better would be to assign that part number with different values to extract to a database. I'm looking for as much flexibility with the data as possible.

Has anybody done something similar and/or lead me in the right direction? Hell, is their a Lynda.com video on this very issue? ;-)

      Thanks!

You might be able to pull this off with the indexmatic script:

which I talk about in this lynda.com movie:

      David,

Just checked out the video and it's a great script. I'll have to play around with it and see if I can get the results I need but it's a great start.

I haven't upgraded to CS5 yet, but would anything change from CS4 to CS5? Improvements or compatibility issues?

      Thanks!

      ~Erick

Is the part number a unique paragraph or character style? Or is it always in the same location, e.g. first cell of a table? If those conditions apply, it's most likely scriptable.
