I have an InDesign document with embedded images that I need to export in order of appearance. The files have all be given meaningless wonky names by the client and in order to rebuild the document in the Kindle Create application I need to re re-place the graphics into the text from within the Kindle Create app.

I’d link to export the files in their order of appearance so I can easily sort the files by date/time and locate the the files in the generic Kindle Create dialogue box.At present the Unembed routine works to get the files out of the document but they are not exported in order of appearance.

      Any direction is greatly appreciated.

How many links are we speaking about?

I’m stuck with 192 images over two hundred pages.

Maybe use the script LinkNavigator.jsx https://www.kerntiff.co.uk/free-stuff/linknavigator, it’s not gonna do the heavy lifting but will let you know what is where.

      Will this script help?

Damn that did the trick! Just saved me so much time.

        Thanks
