      Hello everybody,

I am using the book feature to organize a 224 pages catalog.

There are 15 files inside the book, all beginning with an even page and ending with an odd page.

Is there a way to export a pdf from the entire book, forcing the last page from a file to form a spread with the first page from the next one? If I simply export the file with spreads it makes single pages from them.

I can manually move the last page from the files to the next one, forcing the files to end and begin with spreads. But, if I didn't have to worry about it would be great. I am using the book feature for the first time.

So, if anyone could give me a tip to avoid this problem I would really appreciate!

      Thank you!

      Rosana

      Hi!

I kept looking and I found a perfect answer for my question right here… as usual. Where else would I?

The blog entry has more than a year old but I believe it still applies for the situation, right?

      Thank you David!

I don't think that post is about putting the back page and the front page together on the same spread. Are you trying to create “printer spreads”? You can't do that in InDesign with a multi-doc book. It's better to export to PDF and use a plug-in there. Or, even better, get your printer to do it for you.

      Hi David,

I am having the same problem Sandra had in that post. I need a pdf with “spreads” to visualization only to send to my client.

But I don't really need the spreads. Using your words, I need the pdf to look like a book.

I didn't mention this before, right? Sorry about that…

      Thank you!
