Export VDP Named with Fields

      This may be hard to explain, but here goes.

      I need to generate a large number of personalized letters using Data Merge, and the final PDFs need to be exported and named using 2 of the data fields. Specifically: SalesName_Neighborhood.PDF format. (They have to be named this way so they can be imprinted on a separately printed full color shell. The digital operators will follow a product sheet based on those file names, to match specific quantities required.)

      I’ve got the InDesign doc setup, and the CSV file calling the correct date fields including some images, has anybody managed to output various PDFs in the way I’m describing using just ID’s built in data merge?

      Another option is to use the MyDataMerge app, which I think does a bunch of this stuff more easily:

      Ooooohhhhh, awesome! That first set of instructions is pretty labor intensive, but I see Colin has made a few scripts as well though, so I’ll give those a go.

      MyDataMerge looks interesting too, more $$$ but if it automates the process significantly it’ll be well worth it.
