Hi! I decided to use InDesign for a huge project because it’s the superior tool, but now I’m thinking maybe I should’ve used illustrator? I’m working on large scale layouts that will be printed on sheet metal. The prints also include inset LEDs, and I need to provide the printer with DXF files with the exact position of the holes so they can laser-cut the sheets prior to printing them. Is there a way I can export the layer with the paths for these cutouts and then convert them into files that the laser cutter will be able to read? I need an efficient way to do this because I have 70 such files. Please help!

Yeah, InDesign cannot export DXF files.

Olav Martin Kvern uses ID for CAD:

Another option might be to export as PDF and open in Illustrator.
